KStars Lite update

Hi

I just got a chance to run KStars Lite on my phone! It is really very
impressive! Very user friendly!

Some comments:

1. Looking at how slow loading of NGC/IC objects is on Android, it
must be our priority before "release" of the Android version, IMHO, to
move from ASCII to SQLite. We can even have a separate ngcic.db for
now (and I think that's better for some weird reason).

2. Would be nice to include the DSS Image feature (IMO) as it is one
of the very useful features that is unique to KStars.

3. I'm impressed with the performance! It's amazing to see so many
stars animate with a high fps on an Android device.
I have a question: does the Android version use HTM like the desktop version?

4. This is an ambitious question -- what would it take to have Tycho 2
(DeepStarComponent) work on Android?

5. The star density slider seems to update the skymap too often, so it
is hard to move when the density is high (i.e. it is not responsive).
Would be better if it updated the skymap only when the finger is
released from the slider, at least in the high star density range.

6. When the Find Dialog resolves from the internet, it doesn't go back
to the map and center the object... it does it for existing objects.

7. Another note: I'm working on trying to speed up performance of
SkyPoint, especially precess(), aberrate() and
EquatorialToHorizontal(). I discovered yesterday that nearly 50% of
the expensive trigonometric calls we are making seem to be redundant!
I'm working on fixing this although it's taking me longer than
anticipated (I don't even know if it is fixable, but I'm trying).
There are other performance improvements I can see. Right now, I sense
a bit of lag when zooming in / out on the SkyMap. I wonder what the
primary cost here is... it would be nice to profile and see if the
improvements to SkyPoint and dms will help on Android.

Regards
Akarsh
