Neither do I. As far as I understand currently satellites do not work in 
kstars at all. It does contain some bugs (bound to) but they could be 
fixed. BTW this change should close bug 106104[1]

Just one point. It's much easier to review changes if they are split 
into small changes. Git's branches are very useful in this respect
