[Kstars-devel] Messages with underscore in kstars translation catalog

Hi,

the kstars catalog has some messages with a trailing underscore like:

l10n-kde4/templates/messages/kdeedu/kstars.pot:39250:msgid "site_"
l10n-kde4/templates/messages/kdeedu/kstars.pot:39254:msgid "session_"
l10n-kde4/templates/messages/kdeedu/kstars.pot:39262:msgid "observation_"
l10n-kde4/templates/messages/kdeedu/kstars.pot:39279:msgid "observer_"

Do strings need a translation?  
If yes, needs the translated string the underscore as well?
Where and how are they used?
