I have quickly tried your patch and it works fine here. I am particularly happy 
as i am the one who opened the wish in b.k.o.

Why not converting everything to use the HD numbers rather than Bayer 
designation? I guess no constellation uses a star which does not have a HD 
number.

Perhaps the list as displayed in the combobox should be sorted alphabetically. 
I think there is an option for this.

Are they i18n-ed?

Perhaps we should make sure those data are GPL-ed too and add the relevant ©
