Hello Jason,

  I have tried the Get New Stuff and it works fine. I have downloaded the 
three catalogs (ephemeris, Messier image thumbnails and Steinecke NGC/IC 
catalog). After downloading them I have lost the image thumbnails on Kstars. 
For example I cannot see the Orion image thumbnail. On the other hand I do 
not know where the catalogs have been written locally. Are they really 
catalogs or are they files with images (case of Messier image thumbnails)?.
