Matrices (images) and dirfile

Hi KSTers,

I'm venturing into Matrices for the first time (eventually to display Images) and my attempts (and the ASCII references in the KST Handbook) lead me to believe that Matrices and dirfiles don't mix.

Any confirmers/deniers?
