You are too kind thank you. The sample files are not of the data we are looking at theY are just stable temperature readings from the sensor engineer who sent them as examples of the formats. The ASCII file is produced too slowly for real time monitoring of a manually applied probe we are using. At this point I have been put in touch with mensor software engineer who is going to rewrite an in house program that will receive data direct from the com port at 8ms or under intervals and show it in real time as a sine wave like an oscilloscope in essence. It will also write the data to a csv file which I believe will then enable easy import and analysis via excel for static analysis and kst for on the fly viewing. I think we are as set as can be given I'm waiting to order the sensor till the software answers configuration questions for the unit itself. Thanks very much for your help!
