[Kst] Error while reading ascii file...

Dear all
Lately, I am getting the error of "..not enough memory is not available" 
while opening a quite small file
i tried to set the buffer limit as suggested, with no luck.

I am running Ubuntu 11.10 64bit and kst 2.0.7 from repository.
Any suggestion to get the program back to work is really appreciated.
