Hi Peter,
thaks for the effort for packaging Linux binaries.

I've done some tests and unfortunately the results were not very good.
On a 64 bits OpenSuse 11.1 I get the following:
kst-2.0.5/bin> cat /etc/*release*
openSUSE 11.1 (x86_64)
VERSION = 11.1
kst-2.0.5/bin> ./kst2 (extracted from 64 bit package)
/scratch/franz/brisset/Kst/kst-2.0.5/lib:/usr/lib64/mpi/gcc/openmpi/lib6
4:/usr/local/lib:/usr/lib:/usr/local/lib:/usr/lib
/scratch/franz/brisset/Kst/kst-2.0.5/bin/kst2.0.5: /lib64/libc.so.6:
version `GLIBC_2.11' not found (required by
/scratch/franz/brisset/Kst/kst-2.0.5/lib/libQtGui.so.4)
/scratch/franz/brisset/Kst/kst-2.0.5/bin/kst2.0.5: /lib64/libc.so.6:
version `GLIBC_2.10' not found (required by
/scratch/franz/brisset/Kst/kst-2.0.5/lib/libQtNetwork.so.4)
kst-2.0.5/bin> ./kst2 (extracted from 32 bit package)
/scratch/franz/brisset/Kst/kst-2.0.5/lib:/usr/lib64/mpi/gcc/openmpi/lib6
4:/usr/local/lib:/usr/lib:/usr/local/lib:/usr/lib
/scratch/franz/brisset/Kst/kst-2.0.5/bin/kst2.0.5: error while loading
shared libraries:
/scratch/franz/brisset/Kst/kst-2.0.5/lib/libkst2widgets.so.2: ELF file
OS ABIinvalid
I also tried the 32 bit package on a OpenSuse 11.2 32 bits OS, and I get
something similar to the first case above.
So the question is: is there a way to get around the libc version check?
I think I read something about that in the past...
And out of curiosity: on which distro have you compiled the packages?
