As I just informed Peter, I also noticed something weird with the ASCII data source. When working with huge files (1 Go!), it became obvious that at some point the whole file is read into memory, soon leading to a Kst crash under Win 32 bits when trying to plot too many vectors. I suspect it is due to the fact that there is a per-process memory limit somewhere aroung 1.5 Go. 
I don't know if it's easy to fix or not. If it is, it would be nice for 2.0.6, otherwise I'd say it can wait until the next version, where we'll need to revisit the ASCII data source anyway for the ASCII data/time stuff (https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=243684).
