Hi Gabriel,

what you are trying to do and generally better support for time-based data is on the roadmap (see bugs 243684+243445 in bugzilla at bugs.kde.org), but currently you have to pre-process the files to transform your time/date information into numerical values like C time, which can then be interpreted as date by kst using the configure dialog of the ASCII datasource. You can probably use for example python or ruby for that, but we are aware that is it not very satisfying.

I hope to post my suggestion for the implementation of that feature on this list soon, if you keep around (or subscribe to the above mentioned bugs) you should be informed. And if you have ideas to share, don't hesitate.
