I don't know what you think of it, but personnally I like it much better this way.
The only "issue" is that the data files are still added to the bottom of the Tools menu, and I think that looks very weird. I'd remove them completely, which does not prevent from keeping the last sessions from the bottom of the File menu (since it seems a majority likes it).
