Here my idea: nettplot

There are no Google hits for "nettplot"

It sound like netplot, but I found no programs with this name, only a
web interface for gnuplot: http://lavica.fesb.hr/netplot/en/index.html

nettplot is easy to remember, indicates the scope of the program:
plotting. A disadvantage is the association with the net, but at least
we we could plot files which resides on some network drive.

Additionally 'nett' has a meaning in German: neat
http://dict.leo.org/ende?lp=ende&lang=de&searchLoc=0&cmpType=relaxed&sectHdr=on&spellToler=&search=nett

And most important, the founder's name starts with nett, so he couldn't
say No ;)

Or even better: netterplot
The German word 'netter' translates to "more neat"

And we are not alone with the prefix netter

http://www.netteranatomy.com
http://www.nettervibration.com machines
http://www.netterimages.com medical illustrator Netter
http://www.netterreference.com
http://www.netterconstruction.com

so why no netterplot.***?

But maybe the English meaning of netter is misleading, or
we say X/Y coordinate system is a net, a netterplot is the
one who does it.

And again Netter also has meaning in the history of kst ;)
