I am closing this bug as INVALID, since the solution is known (and now
documented). I don't know what we can do about this, it may become a problem
for distro packagers? 
FYI Soren, to read in ASCII files with values like 2.867537 correctly on a
machine with German locale, I do "export LC_NUMERIC=C" before starting kst.
This works but it still needs to be made easier, I agree :-)
