[Kst] [ANNOUNCE] Kst 1.3.0 Released

Kst 1.3.0 Released


The Kst development team is happy to announce the immediate availability of 
Kst 1.3.0, a major update of the real-time data viewing and plotting tool 
with data analysis functionality. Kst 1.3.0 consists of a KDE 3.1 based 
application and a set of data analysis and manipulation plugins. Kst ships 
complete with documentation, and is translated to over 25 languages. Kst, 
including all its plugins and documentation, is available for free under Open 
Source licenses. Kst can be obtained in source and numerous binary formats 
from http://download.kde.org/stable/apps/KDE3.x/scientific/.

Release Highlights.
- Numerous presentation-level enhancements
- Color support and other new features for label contents
- Script integration for events
- PSD enhancements and corrections
- Use of NAN for missing data instead of 0
- Support for a new network data server, Network Access to Data

- Improved multithreading
- Improved user feedback
- KIO support added to .kst files
- Various enhancements for data inputs and supported formats
- Performance improvements to painting and locking
- Extensive bug fixes

Packaging Policies.
Kst is distributed by the developers in source form only. Several individuals 
have provided third party binary packages for various Linux and UNIX 
operating systems and KDE combinations. These packages are available for free 
download from KDE's download servers at 
http://download.kde.org/stable/apps/KDE3.x/scientific/. These packages are 
provided for your convenience only, and are not supported by the Kst 
developers.

Source Code.
The complete source code for Kst 1.3.0 may be freely downloaded. Instructions 
on compiling and installing Kst 1.3.0 are available from the Kst homepage at 
http://kst.kde.org/.
