[Kst] View object changes

In the interest of preventing too much forking which could make merging 
difficult, I'd like to start reviewing the view object branch to merge it 
back into to trunk.  This won't happen until the DR is out, which means not 
until locking issues are sorted out.  Considering that, are there any more 
changes pending for this branch?  Also, does anyone have -other- view object 
changes pending?  If so, what are they, who wants them, when should they be 
expected, and what impact is expected?
