[Kst] [Bug 120827] Command line option -f fails for some ascii files

I also find this bug annoying (at best).

The ideal behaviour, in my mind, would be for 

kst -f 5 -y 3 data.dat 

ought to work, regardless of what lines 0-4 have in them.

BUT: the data source has to report back what fields are valid, without knowing 
what row you are starting to read from.  I'm guessing that it currently uses 
row 0.

Maybe the data source should survey several rows (1st, middle, last?) to 
determine what valid fields are....
