[Kst] [ANNOUNCE] Kst 1.2.0 Released

Kst 1.2.0 Released

The Kst development team is happy to announce the immediate availability of 
Kst 1.2.0, a major update of the real-time data viewing and plotting tool 
with data analysis functionality. Kst 1.2.0 consists of a KDE 3.1 based 
application and a set of data analysis and manipulation plugins. Kst ships 
complete with documentation, and is translated to over 25 languages. Kst, 
including all its plugins and documentation, is available for free under Open 
Source licenses. Kst can be obtained in source and numerous binary formats 
from http://download.kde.org/stable/apps/KDE3.x/scientific/.

Release Highlights.
- Introduction of extended annotation objects similar to vector graphics 
- Integration of KstScript, an ECMAScript based scripting language capable of 
interacting with and extending Kst in virtually every way
- Support for several new data formats including HEALPix
- Various additional display options for plots
- Enhanced support for time input
- Enhanced matrix and image support, including waterfall plots
- Performance improvements to painting, flicker reduction
- Extensive bug fixes

Packaging Policies.
Kst is distributed by the developers in source form only. Several individuals 
have provided third party binary packages for various Linux and UNIX 
operating systems and KDE combinations. These packages are available for free 
download from KDE's download servers at 
http://download.kde.org/stable/apps/KDE3.x/scientific/. These packages are 
provided for your convenience only, and are not supported by the Kst 

Source Code.
