[Kst] Dirfile changes

Hi Don, 

   Can you have a look at getdata with respect to the MULTIPLY changes you 
made?  There were several problems including returning the wrong number of 
samples (causing Kst to constantly try to re-read the data), allocating a 0 
size buffer, and trying to read past the end of the tmp buffer.  I hacked 
around some of the problem and put an assert() in the buffer allocator.  
However I think it needs a bit of a review (and some inline comments).
