How about changing "Transform opposite axis" which can be ambiguous - opposite 
to what? - to "Transform Top Axis" and "Transform Right Axis."

Can you include UI elements for sharing axes with the plot above or below?
The plot clearly can't know what is above it, but it can extend its axis right 
to the edge and surpress the labels and borders.

It could go in the placement box.
( ) Surpress top border and label (excludes 'Top' option)
( ) Surpress bottom border and label (excludes 'Bottom' option).

So to but up two plots, so that they 'share' axis, you would check 'Surpress 
bottom border and label' on the upper plot, and 'Surpress top border and 
label' on the lower plot.

This will be *very* nice for grids of many curves of similar items (eg, 
bolometers).
