Summary: New tool: differentiate curves
Product: kst
Version: unspecified
Platform: Compiled Sources
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: wishlist
Priority: NOR
Component: general
AssignedTo: kst kde org
ReportedBy: nicolas.brisset eurocopter com
Version: 1.2.0_devel (using KDE KDE 3.4.0)
Installed from: Compiled From Sources
OS: Linux
I have tried the functionality implemented for bug #90196 (B&W printing) and I really liked it. However, I think it is really too bad :
1) that it's buried so deep in the kst-specific settings of the print dialog (though it's nice to have it there) and does not allow to change properties permanently
2) that it does not give access to all curve attributes (I know, the original report was focused towards B&W printing!)
3) that it can cycle only within plots
4) that the first point type is not "None" but a cross symbol
To solve these small problems (which I think belong together in a single bug report, otherwise just forgive me :-)) and improve kst's usability again, I'd suggest making the same tool available from the "Tools" menu, along with more options to cycle from, especially curve color (they can be removed from the list easily anyway). One of these options should be to cycle options plot-wise or app-wise, which by the way would obsolete bug #107930 (can someone change its bugzilla status to reflect that please ?).
I have the feeling that this is all converging nicely (that one + bug #107928 + multiple edit mode = cool). I am really amazed at how fast kst is progressing towards perfection!
