  It also skips the last frame if it is readable.  (if skip=2 it stops at 10 
instead of also reading 12 in a vector [0..12] inclusive)

  I can easily correct all of that.  This is sufficient then?

  Out of curiosity, why does it start at sample 0 instead of sample skip+0?  
Any particular reason?
