  I was more concerned with implementing different methods and no-one using 
them.  Anyway I have some of the suggestions at least partially implemented 
here already.  Once tested I can commit.  The interpolation to the selected 
vector is the only suggestion I didn't implement because it's starting to 
make a once-clean dialog look messy.  If anyone else wants, they can 
implement that one later.
