  This stuff is really coming together nicely!  I'm glad to see that we have a 
solution that works from all areas, and is clean from an architecture 
perspective.  The only question I have at this time is about the ability to 
move objects when not in layout mode.  I can see some benefit to this, but it 
prevents one from putting a second object right on the edge of the first.  I 
think it's probably fine to only allow moving objects in layout mode.  This 
seems consistent with other vector graphics apps I think.

   Oh and one note, the Picture object takes a URL, not a filename (though a 
filename will get converted into a URL implicitly if passed).
