This is because the tick interval is defined in the base units (in this case I 
think seconds) to be 'nice' (ie, from ...,1,2,5,10,20,50,...) but then 
re-interpreted to new units (like minutes).  
ie, it is a bug which I will submit.

Should we even keep these fields (justification & position for X, Y, Tick, Top 
labels) in the .kst file, or should we just override them all, and supress 
them from the kst files.  If we keep them, we should always honor them.  If 
we are going to ignore them, we shouldn't write them.

Thoughts?
