OK, sorry :-( I can see it now, it's only that the base label is pretty far down as compared to the axis label line so that I actually didn't even see it. I actually expected it at the same height, at the location of the first value with subsequent values displaying offset. Like:
1000         [+500]            [+1000]          .........

I will let you close the bug after you've evaluated (and possibly implemented) the above formatting suggestion.
