This is doable in a future release (eg, 1.0) but not for today's.  Can you 
submit a wishlist bug?

Have to think about this.  <Ctrl Left> and <Ctrl right> move throught the 
file, and the re-read is generally similar speed as the re-draw (at least for 
dirfiles). 

We could implement via plot markers...
