Dear editors of the kst page,

I have read your installation instructions for kst.
According to the Filesystem Hierarchy Standard, locally compiled packages go
into the /usr/local tree for not being accidently overwritten during system
updates.
/usr/local works fine on Mandrake and RedHat as well as on SuSE Linux, Debian,
*BSD and many others.
I suggest you change your installation instructions accordingly.

Thank you for your cool program, kst.

Kind regards,
