Those "hard-core stable debianites" among us don't expect support- we have the 
source after all ;-)  

Also, the KDE 3.1 packages in Debian unstable work quite well on my laptop, 
though there is no way I'm going to muck around on our critical servers until 
sarge is released in a couple months.  After that, the last bastions of KDE 
2.2 will have fallen...
