hi guys, I've just managed to install ZFOS (kolab-20040217-2.0.0) onto
my server. (If you remember, i posted an earlier message to the list to
ask for some help regarding zfos, but that problem's been resolved now.)
Logging in as manager, i tried to create a user, but then stumbled upon
something - there's no "Unique UserID" field for me to assign the user,
so I was left wondering what how the user should login. (This field is
present in the screen capture on page 4 of the "Server Administration"
pdf, available from kroupware.org)
Did a look through /var/log/messages, and found this -
-----------
Mar 5 17:03:25 S kolabd[1901]: Kolab is starting up
Mar 5 17:03:27 S perl: No worthy mechs found
----------
Did a 'ps 1901', and to my surprise, found that there was no pid 1901
running. I have no idea at all how to interpret this "No worthy mechs"
message, but i'm pretty sure it's related to the missing kolabd process.
I do a netstat, and this is what i get -
-----------

I tried searching on google, and the mailing list archives as well, but
didnt really find anything much helpful. I know something is amiss, but
i still have no idea what the cause of the perl message ("No worthy
mechs found") is. I do know, however, from an earlier post, that it
cyrus should be there, but isnt at port 110, and that the kolab config
backend should be there at port 9999 (but as you can see, is missing).
Could somebody kindly help? How do i go about debugging this? I tried
looking in /kolab/var/kolab/log as well, but there's nothing there.
I installed from source for the zfos.
