[Kroupware] Cant log in to imap server

Hi,
I have kolab installed under red hat 9. I can log in through the web interface
and addusers but when I try and log in to the imap server using evolution I
get authentication failed error. I also tryed imtest and no joy.testsaslauthd
returns o.k. success. Not sure if its related but when I try to set up email
forwarding using web interface I get  the following error:
Could not log on to timsieved daemon on your IMAP server sieve://127.0.0.1:2000

Any help would be greatly appreciated! wrecking the head off me.
