we're testing on multiple WinXP and WinME systems in addition to Linux.  We 
need details because our testing isn't showing what you are describing 
other than the fact that Aethera does seem to be sending a blank password 
other than requesting a password.

Aethera is all GPL, feel free to get involved :)
