I have files there uploaded via webdav... i _think_ its a matter of read 
permissions.  I was able to turn on debug info for proftpd and found it was 
going to the correct directory.  But it refused to see the files  here is the 
log of what proftpd says:

Now in fact there is a ian.vfb in that directory, but im betting for some 
reason how proftpd is logging in is screwing with the rights.  Now that I 
have changed the UID to the username of the person connecting maby that is 
whats causing the issue?

Im reading the proftpd docs now... ideally Ill have a fix here.
