Hi,

I am running RH9 and have just downloaded and installed the web frontend
for kolab, using mozilla as the bowser. What I have found is that when I
go into the mail/folders page, everything grinds to a halt. My machine
is a p4 2.4MHz intel machine with 256 MB memory, and I am running gnome
as a windows manager.

There is a process called /usr/lib/mozilla-1.2.1/mozilla-bin running
using 97% CPU and 58% mem (using top). strace of this process shows that
it is mostly looping through gettimeofday:
gettimeofday({1062573704, 695066}, NULL) = 0
gettimeofday({1062573704, 695175}, NULL) = 0
gettimeofday({1062573704, 695283}, NULL) = 0
gettimeofday({1062573704, 695390}, NULL) = 0
gettimeofday({1062573704, 695935}, NULL) = 0
gettimeofday({1062573704, 696042}, NULL) = 0
gettimeofday({1062573704, 696138}, NULL) = 0
gettimeofday({1062573704, 696251}, NULL) = 0
gettimeofday({1062573704, 696711}, NULL) = 0
gettimeofday({1062573704, 696817}, NULL) = 0
gettimeofday({1062573704, 696920}, NULL) = 0
gettimeofday({1062573704, 697032}, NULL) = 0
brk(0) = 0x167d6000
brk(0x167d7000) = 0x167d7000
gettimeofday({1062573704, 698413}, NULL) = 0
gettimeofday({1062573704, 698512}, NULL) = 0
gettimeofday({1062573704, 698622}, NULL) = 0
gettimeofday({1062573704, 698739}, NULL) = 0
brk(0) = 0x167d7000
brk(0x167d8000) = 0x167d8000
gettimeofday({1062573704, 699448}, NULL) = 0
gettimeofday({1062573704, 699557}, NULL) = 0
gettimeofday({1062573704, 699661}, NULL) = 0
gettimeofday({1062573704, 699765}, NULL) = 0

load ave increases significantly from 0.13 to 1.2 or thereabouts, and
the mouse indicator when over the window hovers as the hour glass, like
it is going no where. I have to reboot the box from here as it
eventually just freezes everything. I followed the instructions for
installing both kolab and the frontend, so is there something else I
should do, or maybe some permissions that aren't set correctly or
something?

Thanks, gillian
