[Kroupware] message_size_limit

Hi alll
when i alter the message_size_limit in main.cf.template to a higher value
i.e 50 MB i cannot send messages anymore
the client returns a: no recipients provided 
(well actually in German "Keine Empfänger angegeben")
after i comment this value out again i am abled to send mails again, but
limited to 10 MB?

in main.cf(.template) its:
---
# object size limits
message_size_limit = 50000000
---
output of postconf:
mail:/kolab/etc/kolab# /kolab/sbin/postconf  | grep message
message_size_limit = 50000000
qmgr_message_active_limit = 20000
qmgr_message_recipient_limit = 20000
qmgr_message_recipient_minimum = 10

what am i doing wrong here????
