Package: kmail
Version: kroupware-RC2 (KDE 3.1.2-1.20030519.1ark) (Ark Linux - H2O)
Severity: normal
Compiler: gcc version 3.3 (Ark Linux 1.0 3.3-2ark)
OS: Linux 2.4.21-0.pre4.6ark i686 (Ark Linux - H2O)

If you're running KDE in UTF8 file name mode (that is by exporting the variable KDE_UTF8_FILENAMES=1, which allows you to use UTF8 characters in the file name) KMail has some problems.
An easy way to test it is running KDE in UTF8 and create a folder in KMail containing this kind of characters: á, é, í, ó, ú, ñ, ü, ç, etc... then, try to create a subfolder in that folder and you'll find out that it gives you an error and fails to do it, that, among other problems, like what happens if you move that UTF8 folder (indexes are not moved I think), etc.
Thank you
