[Kroupware] "real" debian packages ?

Has anyone yet tried/succeeded creating "real" Debian packages (.deb, 
not .rpms) from the CVS source ?

Is this planned ? Necessary ?

I think it would be nice to just apt-get install kolab and have it all 
done automagicaly by apt (ex: removing the non patcher preexisting 
postfix to avoid conflicts would be nice)

If this hasen't been done, I'll look to find some time and do it myself. 
Anyone interested in the resulting debs ?
