[Kroupware] General inquiry re. Kolab + Kontact

Thanks to you all for the feedback.
I am glad to hear that Kolab server and client are progressing well.
I am still not clear about the relationship between the Kolab client and
Kontact. Is the Kolab client an intermediary stage until Kontact is
ready? Do they share the same codebase. I understand that Kontact is
80% KMail + Kontact + other KDE PIM components.
Will the completed Kontact be a drop-in replacement for the Kolab client
so that when KDE 3.2 is ready it can easily connect to the Kolab server
on the LAN?
