[Kroupware] POP3 ???

Bernhard, thank you for the countercheck. I try to provide more info, 
perhaps that could give a hint:

The service is activated.

When I connect to the service (e.g. telnet host 110) I get a new line in the 
pop3d.log: 
Jul 17 15:00:56 dre <debug> pop3d[9669]: accepted connection

The system is based on SuSE 7.0, I updated a Kolab Beta2.1 with RPMs 
compiled by myself from the src.rpm files (current files from ftp.kde.org).

I've another (test) system running based on SuSE 8.1. New installation 
compiled fom src.rpm files, here the POP service is working as I've checked 
in the meantime. (I've never tested POP before.)

I was aware that I had to change the UID after changing from Beta2.1 to 1.0 
to be equivalent to the primary email address. Other services (IMAP, SIEVE) 
work fine.

I also went through the config files. Up to now I haven't found a difference 
worth to report. Does somebody have an idea about how to continue?
