Hi,=20
I have almost finished the updates to kolab to allow for ldap authenticati=
on. =20
Currently my lack of knowledge in PHP has let me only update and read value=
s=20
on the web interface, but that can easily be fixed. I added a few items to=
=20
the schema, but now I can authenticate via pam_ldap off of a kolab server. =
=20
This is key for small business systems who would enjoy a central directory=
=20
service. The awesome thing about kolab is the LDAP config is easy to=20
interface with, and should prove much more flexible for admins to maintain.
Here is a screenshot of my current progress, if there is enough interest im=
=20
willing to provide patches.=20

p.s. im currently tweaking the jabber ldap auth code to authenticate and=20
interface with jabber. that might be a few months off yet, but if there ar=
e=20
people interested in adding IM ability to kolab let me know.
