This is what I get:

$ openssl x509 -noout -text -in server.crt
unable to load certificate
24119:error:0906D06C:PEM routines:PEM_read_bio:no start 
line:pem_lib.c:632:Expecting: TRUSTED CERTIFICATE

$ openssl rsa -noout -text -in server.key
unable to load Private Key
24120:error:0906D06C:PEM routines:PEM_read_bio:no start 
line:pem_lib.c:632:Expecting: ANY PRIVATE KEY
