(Andre, it sounded like this was really supposed to be going to the list,=20
so I've sent it there too.)

The kroupware contract was won by a consortium of three companies:=20
Klar=E4lvdalens Datakonsult AB is responsible for the client; Erfrakon is=20
responsible for the server; and Intevation is responsible for=20
coordination. These three companies together is "the kroupware team".

There isn't really a project leader here. We all work towards supplying a=20
server and a client that implements the features mentioned in the=20
contract. And yes, since we use only standardized open interfaces between=20
the client and the server, there are very few things to decide.

No roadmap so far. I'm actually fairly sure that there won't be a v2.0.=20
Instead, the client features will be incorporated into the standard KDE=20
applications that will be released with KDE 3.2 (see the KDE roadmap on=20
www.kde.org). Almost the entire client have already been incorporated=20
into the development of KDE. You can see the some of the direction the=20
client will be heading in on www.kontact.org - this is a client that=20
looks more like Outlook than the current client. With that it will also=20
be possible to run the individual components as standalone applications=20
which is something that's not possible with 1.0.

There might still be a v2.0, if someone contracts us to add specific=20
features to the client or the server. If not, then the kroupware stuff=20
will continue it's life in KDE.

Bo.
