[Kroupware] Using Kolab to replace MS Outlook

Hi
I hope you might be able to help me.
I am currently using MS Outlook for emails, diary (calendar), tasks,
contacts etc on a single user Windows 2000 system.
I would like to be able to move away from this to using say Open Office
(which I am trying), and a replacement for MS Outlook.
I currently use Opera as my browser - and could use it for emails.

Is Kolab a viable alternative?
