No, as kolab. The compiling process surprisingly creates two directories
in /kolab/RPM/TMP: gdbm-1.8.3. and gdbm-1.8.3-root.

Andreas, did you solve the problem meanwhile?

    As I had the problem, I tried first as user kolab. Try as root
    has no sense, because the OpenPKG things are not known (stuff like
    the command rpm and so on).
