[kplato] Kplato crashes when trying to open a previously saved project plan

I installed Kplato 0.5.0 from the Kubuntu repository yesterday. I created a 
project plan (attached) and saved it a couple of times. It is a simple plan 
with no subtasks.

When I tried to open it this morning, the Kplato window closed without any 
message.

I was really impressed with what I saw of Kplato and hope someone can help me 
get it working again.
