I managed to checkout from kde cvs using koffice/kplato, but kdevelop
complains about missing files for autoconfig etc. Is there an 'official'
download for alpha/beta testers, or should I just hack away until it
compiles?

KPlato indeed does not have all the neccessary files for kdevelop. I think
I checked in a basic kdevelop project file. I addition to it, there are
several config files one directory level higher in koffice. The autoconfig
stuff is working from the command line, but it is not done in a way that
kdevelop expects.

One more problem: kplato uses the KDE libtool a lot. kdevelop doesn't know
that. So when you want to debug kplato, you always have to install the
newest version and debug the one in /opt/kde3/bin (or whereever you have
installed it). It is not possible to debug the local ./kplato.
