Hi!

My name is Mikael Hallendal and I'm on the MrProject team. As you have
figured out we are currently in the process of defining the final (I
hope) format for our datafiles. I think it would be great if we could
work together and share this data format. This will benefit all users
and both projects.

I too think this will be hard, not for the reasons stated above, since
those arguments are valid for the GNOME suite too. We have a separated
server and client part which should be easy enough to write another
client to. We use CORBA to talk between them but I guess for you guys
to make best use of KDE you will use DCOP just as we uses Bonobo
which is the GNOME component model.

But as said above, sharing the dataformat would really be a big
advantage since that means people can share data between the two
applications as much as they like. What do you think?

I've joined the kplato list and hope that this will lead to advantages
of both the applications. This mail is also cc'd to the mrproject-list
and it would be good if continues mails on this thread could be
aswell.

Regards and have a nice vacation,
Mikael Hallendal
