tested (kindof) the flatpak version of KPA

Hi Johannes & friends,
when checking Andrews issue (the raw files), I stumbled across this
issue with the flatpak version:
flatpak install org.kde.kphotoalbum (as root)
flatpak run com.github.tchx84.Flatseal (set access to my image folder -
I tried various ways to allow access)
Then as myself:
as at wshome5:~> flatpak run org.kde.kphotoalbum --db
~/eigene_Bilder/index.xml
Qt: Session management error: Could not open network socket
kphotoalbum.MainWindow: No KPhotoAlbum index.xml database file was found
at "/home/as/eigene_Bilder/index.xml" .
kphotoalbum.MainWindow: Please specify an image directory or an existing
XML database file.
as at wshome5:~> ll /home/as/eigene_Bilder/index.xml
-rw-rw-r-- 1 as users 47463967 10. Jan 13:17
/home/as/eigene_Bilder/index.xml
Okay: my home folder lies on a NFS share (the network error?) ... and
... when starting without arguments, I can import my existing index.xml
file but then KPA starts to regenerate all (video)thumbnails (what!?!).
So, is there a sensible path to migrate from a standard install of KPA
towards a flatpak-version?
Right now, it seems that the flatpak is not yet completely functional
(for me at least):
* all config is forgotten: (you have to manually copy files from
.config/... to .var/.../kphotoalbum/...)
* no sound (the jesper video plays silently) - I allowed pulse audio in
Flatseal
* no vlc (open with) - you probably need to install all the other tools
(Gimp, vlc, whatever...) via flatpak too (?)
* feature set not complete
* when you open an existing index.xml it seems to get mapped to a
strange location (internal to flatpak?).
* when starting without arguments, the flatpak KPA uses the last
index.xml used and skips the selection dialog.
Has anybody had success in getting KPA as flatpak running fully
functional? Or is there a tutorial to set it up?
It would be a nice path for people who cannot compile themselves but
need a very recent version.
Cheers, Andreas
