how are videothumbnails connected to the clips

Hi,

I have a strange problem: after switching some video clip on the file
system (A <-> B) I found no way to reconnect them somehow to their
correct videothumbnails.

I tried recalculating all checksums. This took a long time and I
verified that the two files have their checksums switched in index.xml
(compared to an old backup).

Now, I assumed (never assume!), that the checksum would provide the
connection to the videothumbnails which all have hash-like names.
But no, the two file hashes do not show up in the videothumbnails.

Even stranger: the two files still have their old videothumbnails
attached to them.

So:
How are the filenames in .videoThumbnails related to the video files?

How can I trigger the re-creation of (only a selected few)
videoThumbnails? (This is also here:

Any ideas somebody?
