The EXIF creation date seems to do the trick for me. The Read EXIF info
from files needs to have the "Update image date" ticked. Then selecting all
thumbs and sorting by date and time. As far as I can tell it is the
DateTimeOriginal that is used from exif info. When KPA sees a new picture
for the first time an internal time stamp is created and that is used.
(Unless exif data is reread)
